Nearest Book

Got this from VAXhacker (Courtesy of katimonk):

  • Grab the nearest book.
  • Open the book to page 56.
  • Find the fifth sentence
  • Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
  • Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.

So, you're not going to believe this, but the coolest (or one of the coolest) was closest! I had ALL of my hardbound Twlight books returned within this past month (thank you!), so they all sit there so nicely on my bedside table.

Here's page 56 of Breaking Dawn:

"The music changed, and Charlie tapped on Edward's shoulder.

"It wasn't nearly as easy to dance with Charlie. He was no better at it than I was, so we moved safely from side to side in a tiny square formation. Edward and Esme spun around us like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

"'I'm going to miss you at home, Bella. I'm already lonely.'"

Ahhh. Who doesn't relate to Bella? Don't we all think we're her? I can't imagine being married to a "perfect" person like Edward seems to be. I'm afraid I would never feel like I was good enough for him. I would feel so undeserving. No young woman who reads this is ever going to be happy to be with a non-Edward. He's just so....so....ahhhhh.

Can't wait for November 21st! I'm a little apprehensive about seeing the Twilight movie just because I have LOVED my own images that were created as I read the books. I'm afraid I'm going to be disappointed by Hollywood's interpretation and that it will replace mine forever. Robert Pattinson is just not Edward to me. I was watching a movie with Q a couple weeks ago, and my Edward came on the screen. We were watching August Rush--a great movie that I highly recommend if you haven't seen it. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (he even has the right last name--hee hee) was Edward. Just like that. I know he's WAY to old to play a 19-year-0ld, but Robert Pattinson's gonna have a tough time passing as 19 in my mind too, so what the heck! Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Who is Edward in your mind?

So just to make this post as random as possible, here's my favorite scene from August Rush:

Give this little exercise a try. Grab your nearest book and share away.

oh.
my.
gosh. JULIE!!!

the guy from AUGUST RUSH was EXACTLY WHO I WANTED EDWARD TO BE!!!!

seriously!!! I SWEAR!!!!

wow..i still just can't believe that you would have picked him, too!!!

i am in shock! ♥

isn't he MESMERIZING!?!?! wasn't the movie AUGUST RUSH mezmerizing!?!?!?

seriously, though. it was. I was in a trance after that movie the same way that i was in a trance after reading all of the Twilight books in a row!

{yes..i read them all in a row for the first time}

i am the same way about the movie--wondering if it will be too HOLLYWOOD-IZED. But you know Stephenie Meyer was having a lot to do with the production of it...so it should be pretty close to what SHE wanted it to be....

i am excited about seeing it! GOSH i wish you & i lived closer together and we would go see it!!!!

I'm thinkin' your pick is pretty cute ;) I thought Hayden Christensen would've been a good pick. I'm not bummed on the choice though - I think Robert can pull it off. I'm just so excited to see it on the big screen! I agree with Merrianne...wish we could go together!

Ok so I am slow on this here twilight train but I just started reading them and no joke that is who I had imagined myself!!!! I can't wait to see the movie. Isn't funny how the when books turn into movies they always mess with your own interpretations of everything. I hope this movie does the book justice. There are a lot of young girls (and not so young girls, like me!) out there waiting for it, maybe even have count downs on their fridge, but whatever...

Thanks for the comment about my dad. It made my day!!

PS How amazing are Jonathan Rhys Meyers eyes?!!? Really THOSE are Edwards eyes, come on!!!!!
