Music...Ahhhh....

I saw, on someone's sidebar, a little "anti playlist" button. There was some explanation about how rude it is to have an automatically playing music playlist for blog visitors. I have to say that when I come to my own blog, I love that the music greets me. I sit and bob my head to it. I sing along. It's WONDERFUL...to me.

When I started this blog, I wrote for me. Actually, I still do. This is my little corner of the world where I write whatever comes to mind. It's kind of my little closet where I can have my little "primal scream" and cleanse my mind. It's just fitting that the music that makes me happy is here. For those of you who are offended by it, I'm sorry. You can push pause on it. It doesn't bother me at all; I don't even know you're doing it, but you're very welcome to my closet just be prepared for the screams.

Maybe that person doesn't realize they can just push the pause button. That's what I do. Mostly because I always have other music already going on in the background and the mix is usually weird!

I'll tell you why I hate automatic playlists. And I do hate them. I check google reader and I go down all my blogs that have updated. I open every single page. My nieces, cute girls, do about 4 blog posts every day between them. Every single one of those four pages loads with a different song. Today you did three posts. Three different songs, on top of those four. And two other people on my list (one post, one page each) have automatic playlists, with two different songs. I had nine songs at the same time. Sometimes I have my own music going too. I end up just muting my computer until I've worked my way through all those pages, there's no way I'm going to scroll through each one and click pause. I come here to read, not to listen.

One person does a blog with links to the song she's listening to. If I want to hear, then I can push play. I like those better.

But I love you! Even with the automatic playlist! :)
