The Pledge - Where Was This When I Needed It?

I'm still working on bouncing back from the drama of a month or so ago, but tonight, I went to this blog and found this.  It originates from this button:

BWS tips button

The Mom Pledge
I am a proud Mommy Blogger. I will conduct myself with integrity in all my blogging activities. I can lead by example.
I pledge to treat my fellow moms with respect. I will acknowledge that there is no one, "right" way to be a good Mom. Each woman makes the choices best for her family.
I believe a healthy dialogue on important issues is a good thing. I will welcome differing opinions when offered in a respectful, non-judgmental manner. And will treat those who do so in kind.
I stand up against online bullying. My blog is my space. I will not tolerate comments that are rude, condescending or disrespectful.
I refuse to give those who attack a platform. I will remove their remarks from my blog with no mention or response. I can take control.
I want to see moms work together to build one another up, not tear each other down. Words can be used as weapons. I will not engage in that behavior.
I affirm that we are a community. As a member, I will strive to foster goodwill among moms. Together, we can make a difference.
Will You Take The Pledge?

When I read this now, though, I see that at the time of the drama, I lived by these standards without even knowing them.  I continued to treat those who were so rude to me have their say and their opinions.  I didn't agree with them, and I was not rude back.  For that, I feel proud of myself.  Looking back on it, I would say I was cyber bullied and it was just wrong.  It's interesting how some people think that the internet's purpose is to air all the nasty negative stuff out there.  These people just took that idea and added to it.  Sad.  I feel sorry for those people who feel this way.  How miserable to live such a negative life.

Julie I think you are amazing. I LOVE reading your blog because it lifts me up and gives me the motivation to be the mom I want to be. I love how honest you are and that you talk about struggles and your imperfections as a family and how you overcome them. One thing I don't like about blogging are those people that only talk about worldly things and how they are so perfect and spoiled ( I know a surprising amount of people that do this on their blogs). That's why I love reading yours. I want to be the kind of mom you are! Your kids are amazing, so respectful, and such good kids, and yet, still so much fun to be around! (shows everyone that you can still be spunky and tons of fun and obedient at the same time! ) THANK YOU for being you!! I can't tell you how much I enjoy working with your girls in Young Women's!
