Personal Finance Resources

I was surprised to find that all of the resources that are being used for the personal finance class I'm currently taking are available online--for FREE.  You can find them here.  Just click on the tabs across the top.  They are really great!  I'm working on the second beginning lesson--setting personal goals.  Today, I'm reading the optional readings.  So many good things found in them.  If you have a minute, take the chance to read a couple of these.  I really liked the first and second readings.  I haven't gotten to the last one yet, but I really love the perspective this class gives.

I also love that Dave Ramsey has this little item for sale for 3-12 year olds; although, I quickly learned that one wasn't going to do for our crew, so I'd have to add two more kits.  That's not too bad.  Looks like a great product.  Has anyone tried this?  I'd like to know how it went before I got out and buy three of them.

Can I also add that I appreciated what Dean L. Larsen article said about quantitative goals vs. qualitative goals.  Those that mean the most to us are things that can't be measured as S.M.A.R.T. goals.  They are things that influence how we feel and truly make us into who we are.  Anyway, this article is definitely worth a perusal.

Thanks for the links! I'm always on the lookout for personal finance tips and these have sparked my interest so far. We recently got out of debt after being in it for so many years and the fear of getting into debt again serves as a motive to improve myself. Thanks again! ^_^

Thanks Julie! I think I'll look at these with my Hubby soon.
