I just received an email with a link to this video. I was touched by the child in the painting.
I realize, after watching this, that I need to make sure that I'm doing my part. I need to assure that my children understand the significance of their freedoms. It's been more than a year since I've posted about the Constitution, but I need to get back to that. I stopped right about the time I found out I was pregnant--too many other things were on my mind, I guess. If you read my posts back then, you'll know that I really know nothing about the Constitution myself. These posts were intended to help me learn. The great thing was that someone who knew a lot about it and understood the wording would comment on those posts thus making it much more understandable to me. I hope that if you have comments as you read, you will post them for me and others like me.
Thanks!

The message about the Constitution and our freedoms was wonderful. I have some very serious reservations about why Rodney Meldrum is the one introducing this, but that's a topic for another place and time, other than to say “Amen” to the message as it stands, and be wary of any who come along afterward, holding up the goodness of a message like this, and use it emotionally propel their own agendas. In the words of the Lord, “I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
That said, let's all be mindful of how we can do our part to further the cause of freedom in our great nation and to all nations.
So touching Julie. How neat that the artist points out that not all of us have to do something HUGE to make this world great. We all just need to do our best, develop and share our talents, be kind to our neighbors and keep Christ at the center of all we do. I feel like you, I don't really understand the Constitution. Good for you for wanting to understand it better and for posting things like this to help people like me. Thanks for sharing:0)
