I've started thinking of all the possibilities of this space. So many things could be written about. I was thinking it might be fun to scan photos of my children's early years and write about my memories there, and maybe when I have nothing to write that's what I'll do. For now, you just get to bear with my every day rantings and ramblings.
Well, this photo tells how the day started out. Poor T is having a terrible time with his asthma. When this happens, he cries a lot, which is unusual for him. Poor little dude. Our nebulizer is getting good use. We haven't used it since G was a baby, and he has now outgrown the asthma thing for the most part, so we are hopeful for A and T as well. T and A synchronize their asthma problems so far. When one has it, so does the other.
We had Sandra and Hope over tonight. They are our guests for Family Home Evening each Monday night. We've known Sandra since she joined the church 7 years ago (when Hope was just a little baby). We hadn't seen her forever until she showed up at our ward a little before Christmas. It's been great to rekindle this friendship and are so glad they join us in our craziness.
Tonight Q taught the lesson for FHE on agency and accountability from the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. We have divided up our lessons so that anyone over the age of 12 now teaches. We thought this would give the younger kids something to look forward to and plan for as they get older. We were also have way too many Family Home Evenings that were thrown together, so this gives the older kids a chance to really work to prepare a good lesson. Q's lesson had a role play of the parable of the talents. She involved all the kids and really did a great job running the show. Her lessons, every four weeks, will be based on something from the For the Strength of Youth. Mine will be on the Articles of Faith, Z's are from General Conference, and G's lessons will be from the Friend or New Era magazines. On months in which there is a fifth Monday, we will have a family activity planned by one of the younger kids. So far, ithis has been a good plan for our crew.
DJ did a performance on the piano of Ode to Joy. I video taped it, but can't seem to get it to attach to the blog. If anyone has any ideas for me, I could sure use the help.
Sandra provided our refreshments--fun, springtime themed sugar cookies.
